Background

Creditinfo is strengthening their business development contingent and is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, Regional Director/Manager to join its Global Markets team.  This individual will play an integral role in the Company’s growth strategies, including responsibility for partnering cross-functionally to implement company-wide strategic initiatives.

Global Markets is responsible for sales and business development in all Creditinfo Group markets (excluding Iceland), both in countries with Creditinfo companies (indirect market) and in countries without companies (direct markets). It also ensures that local companies are integrated with HQ and follow the Group policies and procedures. This role works closely and jointly with the Group Lines of Business (LOBs) so as to increase sales and guarantee smooth delivery of projects, as well as with any shared service of the Group (Operations, IT, HR, Marketing, Legal and Finance).

Responsibilities

A key focus is to develop and implement strategies for growth for the assigned geographical territory, for Creditinfo Credit Bureau; those fully owned by Creditinfo, third-party operations and partners with major Creditinfo system installations.

The successful individual will cultivate and establish strategic relationships with clients and prospects.

In addition, this person may serve as Board Member in the local companies of the assigned region.

The role will be preferably based in the region although we are flexible on this point, dependent on finding the right person for the role.    Locations will be reviewed with successful applicants to ensure the best candidate is hired. It will report to the Director of Global Markets who is based in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The Regional Director/ Manager for Central Asia is responsible for the following activities/tasks:

  • Coordination and supervision of Creditinfo Companies in the region. He/she will be the primary contact between CIG and the local markets and companies in the region, supporting the local company to expand its sales, and ensuring integration between the local Company and the Group on business, organizational and marketing matters.
  • Business development in other markets in the region, identifying sales opportunities for the Group offering and developing relationships that could lead to the Group expansion into new markets.
  • Coordination between the local company CEO/Team and Group LOBs and shared services.
  • P&L responsibilities for the markets assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

This role requires strong business development and managerial skills, leadership, plus sensitivity and adaptability to local cultures. In-depth knowledge of assigned markets and companies is key, hence on-site frequent presence is required (at least 50% of the time).

  • Fluent English speaker

  • A proven track record in consultative sales to meet aggressive growth targets.
  • Industry knowledge in some of the business areas (credit bureaus, analytics, risk management)
  • Capable of successfully negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Clear ability to successfully collaborate with and influence senior executives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills

  • Russian language would be advantageous, but not essential.
